Lmt Avocats advises the purchasers of the Théâtre de La Madeleine


The buyers:

The Théâtre de la Madeleine was purchased by entrepreneurs Dominique Bergin (Cap Conseil) and Michel Lumbroso (K-Wet Production). K-Wet Production is controlled by Mr Lumbroso through his personal holding company Ellisha Holding; the Fimalac group (led by Marc Ladret de Lacharrière) is a reference shareholder.

The Fimalac group owns the Théâtre Comedia as well as a network of forty or so arenas (“Zénith” and “Arena” label). It is also a reference shareholder of the Barrière group.

The theatre:

The Théâtre de la Madeleine is one of Paris's most prestigious private theatres. Built in 1924, it was sucessively directed by Robert Trébor and André Brûlé, Benoît Léon Deutsch, André Bernheim, and Simone Valère and Jean Desailly.

In 2011, the theatre was bought by Jean-Claude Camus and Jean Robert-Charrier.

The transaction:

Acquisition target is 100 % of the capital of the company that owns the theatre.
