2. PERSONAL USER DATA

2.1. Information concerning personal data collection and protection

Pursuant to the French Data Protection Act no. 78-17 of 06 January 1978 as amended by the French Act no. 2004-801 of 06 August 2004, personal User data (including e-mail addresses and IP addresses) liable to be collected on the Site shall only be stored and used by the Law Firm for the purpose of communicating with Users (and for the purpose of monitoring and/or ensuring the security of the Site with IP addresses).

Personal User data shall be neither assigned, nor transferred, nor leased to any third parties both within or without the European Union.

Each User whose personal data is collected or processed by the Law Firm through the Site has a right to access, oppose the use and ask for the rectification of their data and may demand that any information regarding them be rectified, supplemented, updated, or deleted. They may exercise their rights by contacting the Law Firm by post at the following address: 5 rue Beaujon, FR-75008 Paris, France. The Law Firm undertakes to make its best efforts to protect Users' personal data according to current standards in order to prevent their being distorted, damaged, or disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

2.2. Notification to the French supervisory authority (CNIL)


Notification of the processing of personal data used for the purposes of the Site was given to the French supervisory authority, Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL), and registered under the number xxxx.

2.3. Cookies

The Site may send cookies when Users browse the Site from their terminal; cookies cannot be used to identify the User. The User acknowledge that they are fully aware of such a practice and that they may refuse to save cookies by changing the browser's parameters or options.


3. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY


The Law Firm owns all intellectual property rights attached to the Site and any computing or graphical elements such as, but not limitatively, text, photos, illustrations, multimedia works, keyword clouds, databases, computer code, etc., throughout the world for the duration of copyright. The trademark “Lmt Avocats” was registered with the French trademark and patent office Institut National de la Propriété Industrielle (INPI).

Any use or reproduction in all or part, gratuitously or for a consideration, of the Site or of any IP-protected element thereof is strictly prohibited unless previously authorized in writing by the Law Firm, subject to the paragraph below.

Users are only authorised to display one (or several) page(s) of the Site or any IP-protected element thereof temporarily and on their own terminal and for the sole purpose of making the browsing experience easier.

Users may also download or reproduce any publications such as newsletters, brochures, or fact sheets specifially identified to that end (especially where they are reproduced in .pdf format or where they are in printer-friendly format) subject to such reproduction or display being carried out for strictly personal and non-commercial purposes. Users may not in any case distribute downloads or printouts to third parties. In order to comply with the Law Firm's moral right, any short quotation of any IP-protected element of the Site must imperatively be accompanied by the quotation “excerpt from Lmt Avocats' web site” along with the document's title and, where applicable, its author's name.

4. USE OF THE SITE BY USERS

4.1. Limitations

The Law Firm shall not be liable for the use by Users of the information, data, and publications reproduced and/or available for download on the Site. Such information, data, and publications may not in any case be construed as a legal opinion and are non-exhaustive and for information purposes only. The Law Firm shall not in any case be liable for any damage of any kind whatsoever, whether direct or indirect, immaterial or consequential, arising from the Site being unusable or inaccessible or from the use by Users of the Site's information, data, or publications.

4.2. Linking to the Site from other web sites

No User (or third party) may link to the Site (or to any of the Site's pages) without the Law Firm's express written consent. It is in any case strictly forbidden to link to the Site from web sites circulating information of a racist, pornographic, or xenophobic nature. Authorized hypertext links may only point to the Law Firm's Site by including its URL address (www.lmtavocats.com), to the exclusion of framing and deep linking. Any web site authorized by the Law Firm to link to the Site may only use such link for professional or information purposes, to the exclusion of any commercial or advertising activity. The graphical representation of the hypertext link on the web site linking to the Site may reproduce the Law Firm's logo, subject to first securing the Law Form express consent.

4.3. Links to other web sites from the Site

Web sites that can be accessed via hypertext link from the Site are independent of the Site and the Law Firm. Accordingly, any information, data, and publications accessible or represented or available for download on such third-party web sites and are the exclusive responsibility of their authors and/or publishers. As a consequence, the Law Firm shall not in any case be liable with regard to the information, data, and publications reproduced or published on such third-party web sites.
