Lmt Avocats advises LOOK Cycle on its acquisition of CORIMA
The purchaser (LOOK):
LOOK is the inventor of and world leader in clipless road pedals and the European leader in top-of-the-range carbon frames. An independent business, LOOK is headquartered in Nevers where it designs, develops, and manufactures its products from A to Z.
Today, LOOK employs just under 420 people around the world.
The target (CORIMA):
CORIMA was founded in 1973 by Pierre Martin and Jean-Marie Rifard in Loriol-sur-Drôme. Initially focussed on designing and manufacturing high-performance composite parts, it started applying its skills to wheels in 1988.
Today, CORIMA employs 20 people and makes 4 million euros in annual sales, 85 % of which are exports.
The transaction:
The transaction consisted in LOOK acquiring a majority shareholding in CORIMA's capital.
